Will Juice Plus help Celiac Disease? Let’s be clear here… there is A LOT of information out there regarding Juice Plus and Celiac Disease. This is just my personal take on it. Since, you know, I have Celiac Disease and take Juice Plus. Whodathunkit?
First off, what are these two things, right? Well, if you’ve read anything else on this here blog you probably know. But in case you don’t here’s the two-second version for each
Celiac Disease is your body being an asshole by attacking your intestines whenever you ingest gluten. It’s lame.
Juice Plus capsules and chewables are fruits and vegetables, Juice Plus Complete is a vegan protein shake that doesn’t suck, and the Juice Plus Omegas are a plant-based omega blend superior to anything else available on the market.
With me? Cool. Moving on.
So what’s the link between Juice Plus and Celiac Disease?
The thing about Celiac disease is that it totally jacks up your stomach, making it hard to absorb nutrients. And there’s loads of inflammation going on. Most people don’t realize this (or want to accept it) but the REAL treatment for a broken belly and inflammation is whole foods. Mainly fruits and veggies. You see, there’s something about these complex plants that our bodies get in a way that they don’t with medications, vitamins, and supplements. I know, I wish I could just take a pill too.
